Singer 12 'New Family' Sewing Machine

This beautiful Singer 12 New Family machine is complete and sews well. Importantly the bobbin winder has all of its correct parts (which are so often missing) and has been fitted with a new tyre. It has its shuttle, bobbin and needle.

Both the machine is generally in very good cosmetic condition for a machine of this age. The original decals are particularly bright, with just one small area of loss on the front edge of the bed in line with the throat plate. There is one small chip in the left rear of the bed which has been painted in at some time.

The bentwood storage case is sound and in good physical condition, but the surface has dulled - probably due to some excessibe attempt at cleaning in the past. It would benefit from a new coat of shellac lacquer.
