Singer 221K Featherweight Sewing Machine
This lovely Singer 221K Featherweight was made in 1956. It is in particularly excellent condition with no significant wear to the gold decals and no chips or deep scratches in the Japanned surface. The normal pin scratches on the bed are exceptionally few and light, and far less than usual for a machine of this age. All the plated parts are bright and shiny with no corrosion or tarnishing.
This machine would be well suited to someone who wanted to enjoy owning a particularly fine example of this classis model.
The machine works perfectly in all respects and has been recently serviced. The rubber mounting feet (bed cushions) are in good condition having been replaced, so they are not flattened or melted as with most machines of this age.
The machine is fitted with a quiet Singer CAK motor for 230v electrical supply. For use in USA / Canada, or other 110V areas, it will be necessary to purchase a small voltage convertor (minimum 100W) which are readily available quite cheaply.
The machine has its original attachments in a green cardboard storage box that is in excellent condition for an item of this age. The copy of the original paper User’s Manual has some staining and creasing.
The storage case is in very good condition.
