Harris No.1H Sewing Machine

A particularly attractive example of the brightly decorated ‘Harris No.1H’ oscillating shuttle sewing machine.

The machine is in very good condition for a machine of this age with only minimal wear. The bright plated parts are all clean and untarnished.

The hand crank assembly of this machine has a white porcelain handle which folds down when not in use. The handle is not chipped or cracked and rotates freely on its spindle.

The machine is complete with its needle, shuttle and bobbin and so as well as looking fabulous, it is in good working condition.

The machine is mounted in a wooden base with marquetry rulers to the front and a formed bentwood cover with brass lifting handle, lockplate and key. The case is in lovely condition and measures approx. 17-1/4" x 8-1/4" x 10-1/4" (44 x 21 x 26 cm) high.
