Frister & Rossmann Sewing Machine

A nice early example of the classic Frister & Rossmann sliding shuttle sewing machine. These well engineered machines are particularly stylish and sought ater as stunning display pieces, as well as for sewing use.

Froster & Rossmann Sewing Machine

This lovely early Frister & Rossmann sliding shuttle sewing machine retains most of its decals and generally it is in very good condition, although of course it does have a few marks due to age and normal use. The bright nickel plated parts are mostly very good with just maybe the slightest tarnishing.

The hand crank assembly of this machine has a ceramic handle, which is not chipped or cracked.

The machine is complete except for a needle and is believed to be in working condition, although not tested.

The machine comes in a beautifull F & R inlaid wooden storage case which makes it particularly ornamental and attractive as a display piece. The case has a working lock and ornate key and a cast metal carrying handle. The machine is mounted on a matching inlaid wooden base with the makers name inlaid into it along the front. Both the base and case are in very good clean and polished condition.
