Singer Capri Models 162, 168 and 168
The Singer Capri models 162, 167 and 168 were a family of similar horizontal oscillating hook flatbed machines made during the 1970’s. They featured a metal body with a plastic top arm cover and an integral motor built into the main column.
The 167 was the basic model in the range, whilst the 162 added a Blind Stitch selector, and the 168 included the ability to make fancy patterns. These were achieved by interchangeable pattern cams that could be fitted under a hinged flap on the top arm cover.
